IUMA & MUSIC WEST - Vancouver's new music event, have combined to create the penultimate in cool - A LIVE Multicast TRANSMISSION of SLAM CITY JAM, the NORTH AMERICAN SKATEBOARD CHAMPIONSHIP featuring live punk bands with both STREET and VERT competition.
Canadian punk legends D.O.A. head an incredible cast of very cool punk bands performing on Saturday May 13 and Sunday May 14, at Vancouver's Plaza of Nations during the Music West Festival. The complete schedule includes performances by The Skatenigs, The Dirty Three, Fitz of Depression, 12 Eyes, Trigger Happy, d.b.s., Love Battery, Mock, Another White Male, Tilt, Mock, Breach, and Good Riddance, as well as 80 plus skaters from all over North and South America!
Slam City Jam is part of Music West - a 4-day event-filled music festival, gear show, and conference on the Canadian West Coast - this year's Conference features such speakers and panellists as Jello Biafra, SubPop head honcho Jonathan Poneman, rising folk star Ani DiFranco and Internet visionaries John Perry Barlow, Ricky Adar of Cerberus, and Will Hobbs of IUMA.
Slam City Jam will be broadcast for between 5 and 8 hours per day, starting between 1:00 and 3:00 pm and ending at 7:00pm (all times PST). A complete schedule follows.....
